Should gun ownership be more regulated or less regulated?
|
Clinton will increase gun control regulations.
Clinton quoted by CNN: "We have to do more to stand up to those who refuse to believe the reality that guns do kill and that common-sense gun measures can make a difference. I believe we need a comprehensive plan to stop gun violence."

McCain will reduce regulations on gun control.
From McCain's website: "John McCain believes that the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is a fundamental, individual Constitutional right that we have a sacred duty to protect. We have a responsibility to ensure that criminals who violate the law are prosecuted to the fullest, rather than restricting the rights of law abiding citizens. Gun control is a proven failure in fighting crime. Law abiding citizens should not be asked to give up their rights because of criminals - criminals who ignore gun control laws anyway."

Obama will increase gun control regulations.
Remarks by Obama during a Democratic Debate: "What I do think we can do is to provide just some common-sense enforcement. One good example -- this is consistently blocked -- the efforts by law enforcement to obtain the information required to trace back guns that have been used in crimes to unscrupulous gun dealers. That's not something that the NRA has allowed to get through Congress, and as president I intend to make it happen."

Paul will reduce regulations on gun control.
From Paul's website: "I share our Founders' belief that in a free society each citizen must have the right to keep and bear arms. They ratified the Second Amendment knowing that this right is the guardian of every other right, and they all would be horrified by the proliferation of unconstitutional legislation that prevents law-abiding Americans from exercising this right."
